I have used it to tote schools and notes, snacks, drinks to medical school for 3 years now!
The only visible wear is on the bottom of the strap: the brown leather is rubbed pale a bit.
Other than that, it is in pristine shape after taking much abuse.
The only drawback is the single zip pocket in the interior, and no other division of space inside.
I have to dig for keys, wallet, etc.
But that also tells you how large the tote is!
